Sharing the wonder
I remember being a child on a camping trip in Bodega Bay, along the northern California coast. Our campsite was nestled in the dunes, not far from the beach, and I spent hours wandering the sandy trails on my own. It felt like a grand adventure, exhilarating and full of possibility. I don’t remember exactly what I discovered, but I do remember how it felt: free, curious, unafraid. The warm sun filtering through clouds, the rustle of dune grasses, tiny creatures scurrying about, lizards darting by, and the ever-present sound of the surf. It all made an impression that’s stayed with me.
That sense of wonder and connection to nature is something I still seek today on wooded hikes, in my garden, and through my artwork. There’s magic in noticing the little things: a beetle crossing the path, birds calling overhead, the feeling of being part of something vast and beautiful yet entirely grounding. That’s what I try to capture in my work and the experience I create in my garden. And it’s what I love to share with others.
I’d love for you to join me—and a couple of my fellow artists—for my upcoming Open Studio and Garden Tour. We’ll be showing artwork that celebrates natural beauty, connection, and joy. It’s a chance to experience that sense of wonder together.
If you're not local, I’ll also be offering a special promotion on my Succulent Botanicals, inspired by the vibrant life in my garden. If you’d like early access to this limited offer, just sign up for my email updates and I’ll make sure you’re among the first to hear about it.
Let’s stay connected and keep sharing beauty.
